Our Badge Production Process
Once we receive your order, we put it into production. In general, all orders will be fulfilled in our warehouse within 4 business days and then shipped out.
After you've uploaded your design or created one using our online Design Studio, it's reviewed by human eyes and sent via email for final approval. Once the artwork is approved, it is printed on our state-of-the-art digital printing press and a hot lamination film is applied to ensure a glossy, long-lasting finish.
After lamination, the sheets are fed through our automatic cutting machine which ensures absolute cutting precision. When cutting is complete, the printed designs are crimped together with the metal badge components in our electrically operated badge-making machines at speeds of up to 900 badges per hour!
Finally, after production, all orders are quality-checked, bagged and shipped out to locations around Brisbane, Australia, and beyond!
Certain badges qualify for expedited production, which can cut down fulfilment times. But also note that very large orders of badges may require more than 4 business days to fulfil.
Customisation Options
Most of our badges allow for degrees of customisation, but you’ll find that the badges that fall within the Custom Made Badges category offer the most extensive options.
Once you’ve found a badge that you’d like to customise, click through to its product page and select the ‘Launch Design Studio’ button that appears on the right-hand side of the page (or below the product details if viewing on mobile).
From there, you can customise various facets of the badge’s design until it matches the style you want. Alternatively, you can also upload designs you made offline through Adobe Photoshop or request a badge quote with details of your preferred design.

Delivery Options and Charges
Standard and express shipping are both available as delivery options with Make Badges. Standard shipping typically takes 3 to 5 business days for delivery while express shipping can reduce this to 1 or 2 business days.
Be mindful that express shipping and expedited production are not the same thing. Expedited production simply refers to how quickly we can produce your badges before shipping.
If your order totals more than $100 worth of product, you qualify for free standard shipping. In the event you opt for express shipping, be mindful that the cost will be dependent on factors such as the weight and size of the order being sent and the destination it’s being delivered to.
